Judith “Judy” Janiszewski, 72 of Petersburg, MI, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015. Born December 21, 1942 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Chester and Cecilia (Janowiecki) Raczkowski. She married Donald R. Janiszewski on May 4, 1963. Judy was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had been employed as a scrub nurse for The Toledo Hospital and various nursing homes in the Toledo area. She was an active member of Compelled Church in Temperance, MI. Judy enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, snorkeling, whale watching, NFL Football, but most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Don. Children, Linda (Radar) Dickens, Laurie (Robert) Kimsal, Cheryl (Jason) Fisher, Diane (David) Brown, Don (Joanne) Janiszewski, Mary (Mike Kovacs) VanDevelde, Katy (Gary) Hasting, Ronald (Jennifer) Janiszewski, Karen (Chris) Schilling, David (Alecia) Janiszewski and 17 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday, January 25, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11:00 am. Pastor Ron Janiszewski and Pastor Nate Elarton, officiating.
